Information We Collect Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information. ### Account Information This may include: * Email address; * Account identifiers; * Authentication information; * Subscription or plan status. Passwords may be handled by an authentication provider and should not be stored by Roots N Circuits in readable form. ### Grow and Reservoir Data This may include: * Reservoir names and settings; * Plant and crop information; * Grow logs; * Notes; * Dates and timestamps; * pH readings; * EC or nutrient readings; * Water and reservoir information; * Plant health records; * User-entered observations. ### Photos and Camera Images This may include: * Photos manually uploaded to grow logs; * Automated camera snapshots; * Images associated with reservoirs, plants, or growing systems; * Image metadata; * Dates and times of image capture. Connected cameras may automatically capture images according to the monitoring schedule selected or configured for the Service. ### Camera and Device Information This may include: * Camera identifiers; * Camera names; * Camera-to-reservoir assignments; * Device status; * Connectivity information; * Capture status; * Technical configuration necessary to operate connected devices. Sensitive credentials used to connect to cameras or devices should be protected using appropriate security measures and should not be intentionally exposed publicly. ### AI Analysis Data This may include: * AI-generated plant observations; * Plant health assessments; * Droop or wilting observations; * Detected visual conditions; * Confidence or severity information; * Health scores; * Alert decisions; * Recommendations; * Processing status and timestamps. ### Technical and Usage Information This may include: * Application version; * Device and operating system information; * Error logs; * Diagnostic information; * Feature usage; * Security and authentication events. ## 2. How We Use Information We may use information to: * Provide and operate the Service; * Authenticate users; * Store and display grow records; * Associate cameras with reservoirs or growing systems; * Capture and process automated snapshots; * Analyze plant images using artificial intelligence; * Generate observations, health scores, and alerts; * Maintain historical grow information; * Troubleshoot errors; * Improve reliability and performance; * Prevent abuse and protect accounts; * Provide customer support; * Comply with legal obligations. ## 3. Artificial Intelligence Processing The Service may send photographs, camera snapshots, grow data, or related information to artificial intelligence service providers for processing. AI processing may be used to: * Assess visible plant condition; * Identify possible drooping or wilting; * Generate observations; * Produce health summaries; * Determine whether an alert may be appropriate; * Assist users in understanding grow conditions. AI-generated results can be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed. Users should not rely on AI analysis as the only method of monitoring plants, equipment, water levels, pumps, or other growing-system conditions. ## 4. Automated Camera Monitoring When automated monitoring is enabled, the Service may periodically: 1. Connect to or receive data from an assigned camera; 2. Capture or receive an image; 3. Store the image; 4. Submit the image for automated processing; 5. Store the resulting observation; 6. Generate an alert if configured conditions are detected. The frequency of capture and analysis may vary by plan, settings, system availability, and feature configuration. Users should position cameras to monitor plants and growing systems while minimizing unnecessary capture of people or unrelated private areas. ## 5. How We Share Information We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service. These providers may perform functions such as: * Cloud hosting; * Database services; * Authentication; * File and image storage; * Artificial intelligence processing; * Notifications; * Error monitoring; * Analytics; * Payment processing; * Customer support. We provide service providers only the information reasonably necessary for their role, subject to their agreements and applicable law. We may also disclose information: * With your consent; * To comply with law or valid legal process; * To protect users, the public, or the Service; * To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; * As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate protections. Roots N Circuits does not sell personal information for money. If advertising or other data practices are added in the future, this Privacy Policy must be updated before those practices begin. ## 6. AI Model Training Unless separately disclosed and permitted, user photos and private grow data will not be intentionally published as public datasets. Any future use of customer content to train generalized Roots N Circuits AI models beyond processing and improving the Service should be governed by a clearly disclosed policy and appropriate user controls. Third-party AI providers may process data according to their applicable contracts and data-processing terms. ## 7. Data Retention We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to: * Provide the Service; * Maintain user accounts; * Preserve grow history requested by users; * Meet legal obligations; * Resolve disputes; * Prevent fraud or abuse; * Maintain system security. Retention periods may differ by data type. Users may be given controls to delete individual photos, logs, cameras, reservoirs, or other content. Account-deletion functionality and the corresponding deletion process should be finalized before public release. ## 8. Data Security Roots N Circuits uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These may include: * Authentication and access controls; * User-based authorization; * Secure network transmission; * Restricted database and storage access; * Protected credentials and secrets; * Logging and monitoring; * Separation of user data where appropriate. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, local networks, cameras, and connected devices. ## 9. Camera Credentials and Network Information Camera passwords, stream credentials, tokens, and similar secrets should be treated as sensitive information. Roots N Circuits will seek to minimize access to such credentials and avoid exposing them unnecessarily to mobile clients, logs, public interfaces, or other users. As the Brain Hub and camera integration features develop, the technical handling, encryption, storage, and deletion of camera credentials should be documented and reviewed before public release. ## 10. Children’s Privacy The Service is not intended for children under 13 to create and manage accounts independently. Roots N Circuits does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. Users may manage many permissions through their device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent related features from functioning. ## 13. International Processing Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where Roots N Circuits and its service providers operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international data transfers. ## 14. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service and its technology develop.
