# Roots N Circuits Terms of Service **Effective Date: July 7, 2026** These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Roots N Circuits software, including the AI Grow Assistant, mobile applications, websites, Brain Hub software, camera monitoring features, artificial intelligence features, alerts, and related products and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing the Service, connecting a camera or device, participating in a beta program, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. ## 1. The Service Roots N Circuits provides software designed to help users record, organize, monitor, and understand information related to plants and growing systems. Depending on the features available to a user, the Service may include: * Reservoir management; * Grow logs and historical records; * Plant and system photographs; * Camera registration and assignment; * Automated camera snapshots; * Artificial intelligence analysis of images and grow data; * Plant health observations; * Notifications and alerts; * Sensor and equipment integrations; * Brain Hub automation and background processing; * Recommendations, trends, scores, summaries, and other decision-support tools. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed as the Service develops. ## 2. Eligibility and Accounts You must provide accurate information when creating an account and must keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and for maintaining appropriate security for any connected cameras, devices, networks, credentials, and growing systems. You must promptly notify Roots N Circuits if you believe your account or connected system has been accessed without authorization. ## 3. Monitoring and AI Features The Service may use automated systems and artificial intelligence to analyze: * User-uploaded photographs; * Grow-log photographs; * Automated camera snapshots; * Reservoir and grow records; * Sensor readings; * Equipment status; * Historical observations; * Other data submitted to or generated through the Service. AI-generated observations, health scores, alerts, summaries, and recommendations are provided as decision-support information only. AI systems can make mistakes. An observation may be incorrect, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. The Service may fail to detect visible or non-visible problems. A plant described as healthy may have a problem. A plant described as unhealthy may not require intervention. An alert may arrive late or may not arrive at all. ## 4. Critical Monitoring Disclaimer ROOTS N CIRCUITS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY, LIFE-SAFETY, PROPERTY-PROTECTION, OR FAIL-SAFE MONITORING SYSTEM. YOU MUST NOT RELY ON THE SERVICE AS THE SOLE METHOD OF DETECTING OR PREVENTING: * Pump failures; * Water loss; * Reservoir depletion; * Leaks or flooding; * Electrical failures; * Excessive heat or cold; * Plant wilting or drooping; * Nutrient problems; * Pest or disease outbreaks; * Camera or sensor failures; * Equipment damage; * Crop loss; * Property damage; * Any other urgent or hazardous condition. Users remain responsible for physically inspecting plants, reservoirs, pumps, electrical equipment, cameras, sensors, structures, and growing systems. The Service supplements human observation and appropriate physical safeguards. It does not replace them. ## 5. Alerts and Notifications Roots N Circuits may provide push notifications, in-app alerts, emails, or other notices. Delivery is not guaranteed. Alerts may fail, be delayed, duplicated, or contain inaccurate information due to factors including: * Internet or network outages; * Mobile operating system restrictions; * Notification permissions; * Device settings; * Camera or sensor failures; * Power failures; * Third-party service outages; * Processing delays; * Artificial intelligence errors; * Incorrect configuration; * Software defects; * Maintenance or system changes. You are responsible for maintaining backup monitoring methods appropriate for the importance and value of your plants, crops, equipment, and property. ## 6. Cameras and Image Capture If you connect a camera to the Service, you authorize the Service to access and process images from that camera as necessary to provide enabled features. This may include: * Periodic automated image capture; * Storage of snapshots; * Transmission of images to service providers; * Artificial intelligence analysis; * Creation of observations and alerts; * Display of historical images and analysis. You are responsible for camera placement and for ensuring that you have the legal right to capture and process images from the camera. You must not intentionally use the Service to unlawfully monitor people, private spaces, neighboring property, or locations where individuals reasonably expect privacy. The Service is designed for monitoring plants and growing systems, not for surveillance of people. ## 7. User Content and Data You retain ownership of original photographs, grow logs, notes, and other content you submit to the Service. You grant Roots N Circuits a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, analyze, and display your content as necessary to: * Provide the Service; * Generate requested AI observations; * Maintain and secure the Service; * Troubleshoot problems; * Provide customer support; * Comply with law. Roots N Circuits will not claim ownership of your original plant photographs or grow logs merely because you use the Service. Any future use of customer content for generalized AI model training beyond providing and improving the Service should be governed by a separate, clearly disclosed policy or user choice. ## 8. Acceptable Use You may not: * Access another user’s account or data without authorization; * Attempt to bypass authentication or security systems; * Probe or attack the Service; * Upload malicious code; * Abuse APIs or automated systems; * Interfere with the operation of the Service; * Use the Service for unlawful surveillance; * Infringe another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights; * Reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly prohibits such a restriction; * Use non-public aspects of the Service to develop a competing commercial product. ## 9. Beta and Early-Access Features Some features may be identified as beta, experimental, preview, early access, or otherwise under development. These features may: * Contain defects; * Produce inaccurate results; * Lose or duplicate data; * Change without notice; * Become temporarily unavailable; * Be discontinued. Beta and experimental features should not be relied upon for critical monitoring or commercial production without independent backup systems. ## 10. Third-Party Services The Service may depend on third-party providers for infrastructure, authentication, data storage, artificial intelligence, notifications, analytics, camera connectivity, and other functionality. Roots N Circuits is not responsible for outages, policy changes, errors, security incidents, or failures caused solely by third-party systems outside its reasonable control. Your use of certain integrations may also be subject to the terms and policies of those third parties. ## 11. Subscriptions and Payments If paid plans are offered, pricing, billing frequency, included features, camera limits, AI analysis limits, and other plan details will be disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically if clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. Additional terms may apply to purchases made through mobile application stores or other payment providers. Roots N Circuits may modify future pricing and plans with appropriate notice where required. ## 12. Intellectual Property The Service, excluding user-owned content and separately licensed third-party components, is owned by Roots N Circuits and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service, source code, artificial intelligence workflows, prompts, designs, algorithms, schemas, interfaces, brands, or other proprietary technology. ## 13. No Agricultural or Professional Guarantee Information provided through the Service is general informational and decision-support information. Roots N Circuits does not guarantee: * Plant survival; * Crop yield; * Harvest quality; * Pest or disease prevention; * Equipment performance; * Financial results; * Commercial growing results. Users are responsible for evaluating recommendations in light of their specific plants, systems, environment, equipment, and experience. ## 14. Disclaimer of Warranties TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” ROOTS N CIRCUITS DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. ROOTS N CIRCUITS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL DETECT EVERY PROBLEM, DELIVER EVERY ALERT, PREVENT LOSS, OR OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION. ## 15. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOTS N CIRCUITS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF: * Plants or crops; * Revenue or profits; * Business opportunities; * Data; * Equipment; * Water; * Nutrients; * Property. THIS INCLUDES LOSSES RELATED TO MISSED, DELAYED, OR INCORRECT AI OBSERVATIONS OR ALERTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF ROOTS N CIRCUITS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: 1. The amount you paid to Roots N Circuits for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or 2. One hundred United States dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some provisions may not apply to you. ## 16. Termination You may stop using the Service at any time. Roots N Circuits may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, abuse, unlawful activity, security risks, or nonpayment. Where practical, users will be given a reasonable opportunity to export or retrieve eligible user data before permanent deletion, except where immediate restriction is necessary for legal or security reasons. ## 17. Changes to These Terms Roots N Circuits may update these Terms as the Service develops. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, such as an in-app notice, email, or updated effective date. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law. ## 18. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The final legal entity name, registered address, dispute-resolution procedure, and jurisdiction provisions should be updated before the first paid public release. ## 19. Contact Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the official Roots N Circuits support or business contact channel.
